Clinton pitcher Branden McDonald had a large part in his team beating the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The save went to Nazih bin Burhan, number 6 for him. Clinton, now 60-57, holds down 4th place in the Western Division.

Shortstop Jim Scroggins made an impact for Clinton, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Doug Taub in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Scroggins went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Scroggins.
