Raul Espinosa pitched a gem to lead Dayton to victory over the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 4-1. Espinosa got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Bobby Suter wrapped it up, recording his 5th save.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when right fielder Jeff Ward hit a double. The Dragons went on to win.
