The Dayton Dragons picked up a win at Parkview Field, knocking off the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 2-1. Starting pitcher Dan Costello played a key role in the triumph. In 7 innings, Costello surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. With the victory, the Dragons record stands at 65-53.

Dayton used the timely hitting of Israel Torres to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dragons on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Torres said.
