Dwyer Powers LumberKings Offense

Clinton took on Peoria in front of a lively crowd.
The Clinton LumberKings beat the Peoria Chiefs, 7-0, at Dozer Park. The win was due in part to designated hitter Tommy Dwyer, who threw 8.1 innings of shutout ball. Dwyer got the win, improving to 5-16. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 8.1 innings. Dwyer allowed no runs.
Clinton grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Dwyer hit a run-scoring triple. His 2nd triple of the season put the LumberKings out in front, 1-0.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Dwyer said after the game.
Clinton is last in the Western Division with a record of 42-77.
