Bees Defeat Snappers, 2-0

The Burlington Bees topped the Beloit Snappers, 2-0, in Midwest League action at Community Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Burlington pitcher Joe Mullins. With the win, Burlington has a record of 56-64. Beloit falls to 59-61.
The Snappers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Bees going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old center fielder Ken Bahr came to the plate. Bahr hit a 2-run triple on a 1-1 fastball from Beloit hurler Mark Straka. It was Bahr's 5th triple of the year.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Bahr said.
