League Suspends Gutierrez and Ramirez for Brawl Wednesday, June 11th , 2098 If there wasn't a history between Rodolfo Gutierrez of Louisville and Carlos Ramirez of Toledo, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Gutierrez said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This season Gutierrez has hit at a .268 clip with 8 RBIs, 3 home runs and 11 runs scored. This season Ramirez has a 5-4 record with a 3.21 ERA. |
