Syracuse Stops Christ's Hit Streak
Friday, August 10th, 2063
It was the best of both worlds for the Syracuse Chiefs today at NBT Bank Stadium, as they defeated the Buffalo Bisons 8-3 and also snapped Jason Christ's 21-game hitting streak. The 24-year-old Buffalo left fielder failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Christ, we just wanted to win the game," said Chiefs skipper Daniel Gamez. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Christ frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

Currently Christ is batting .318 with 18 home runs and 71 RBIs.
