Hallberg Gone for Season in Rochester

Rochester reliever Jared Hallberg suffered a season-ending injury throwing a pitch in today's game against the Bulls. According to club doctors Hallberg has a ruptured tricep tendon. Although Hallberg has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs.

This year, Hallberg has collected no saves in 4 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 2-1 won-lost mark with a 4.32 ERA and fanned 16 batters in 25 innings. Opponents are hitting him at a .320 clip in 2107.
