Scranton WB-Pawtucket Fight Results in Suspensions Tuesday, August 23rd , 2072 Yesterday at PNC Field David Corona and Ken Feia got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Scranton WB RailRiders and Pawtucket Red Sox. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Corona will have to sit out 4 while Feia would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. Corona is hitting .267 this year with 6 home runs, 28 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has 52 hits in 195 at-bats, 33 walks and a .380 on-base percentage. Corona has played in 72 games. Looking at his season stats, Feia has won 8 and lost 5, collecting 141 strikeouts and 35 walks in 114.2 innings with a 3.22 ERA. |
