Pawtucket Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Sunday, August 30th , 2111 The Pawtucket Red Sox have a new opponent: mathematics. The Red Sox still have games to play in their disappointing 2111 campaign, but the numbers say they won't mean much -- the Red Sox were today mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. Pawtucket last appeared in the postseason in 2086. This is their 25th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 67 times in their 96-year history. Pawtucket last won the Round 2 in 2074. |
