Pawtucket's Moorehead to Miss Season
Sunday, August 30th , 2111
The doctors have spoken and Josh Moorehead of the Pawtucket Red Sox didn't like what he heard. The 28-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Moorehead sustained his season-ending injury during the Scranton WB RailRiders game yesterday at McCoy Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Pawtucket medical staff reported Moorehead had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12-13 months.

In 13 starts this season, Moorehead has gathered 1 win while suffering 8 losses. He has pitched 88 innings, allowed 89 hits, struck out 78 and has a 4.50 ERA.
