Indianapolis Wins West Division Crown
Sunday, September 7th , 2098
Grown men turned into little boys, some even breaking into tears, in the Indianapolis Indians clubhouse, after the team clinched the West Division.
"We can relax a bit, for now anyway," said manager John LaRossa. "I'm proud of every guy in the room for what we've done this season."
The club has a 81-59 record as they head towards the playoffs in search of their 14th Round 2 championship. Reliever Taurino Ramirez said the team is happy to clinch what is the club's 31st division title, but "wouldn't be happy until we're lifting that trophy."
