When it came to hitting the baseball, Danny Gonzalez had few peers in the International League this year. The gifted first baseman for Scranton WB tagged opposing pitchers for a .326 average and was voted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2110. Included in his season stats were 136 hits, 30 doubles, 1 triple, 15 home runs, 68 runs scored and 63 RBIs.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 14. Brian O'Farrell of the Syracuse Chiefs finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Steve Pena of the Buffalo Bisons finished third with 5 first place votes.
