Pitcher of the Year Award Goes to Scranton WB Hurler

The Scranton WB RailRiders have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Matt Zmuda, this year's International League Pitcher of the Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.

Zmuda compiled a 15-3 record in 27 starts, tallied 254 strikeouts in 201.1 innings and recorded a 1.92 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .181 batting average against him.

He received 14 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Wayne McQuillan of the Gwinnett Braves finished second in voting, while Roberto Aguilar of the Charlotte Knights finished third.
