Omaha's Martin Top AC Batter in May Wednesday, June 1st , 2112 When Jamie Martin stepped up to the plate in May he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the American Conference Batter of the Month award. The young Omaha first baseman posted a .434 batting average with 7 home runs, 20 RBIs and scored 23 runs. Martin also worked pitchers for 20 walks to post a .552 on-base percentage. Thus far this season, Martin is hitting .363 with 8 home runs, 30 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 57 hits in 157 at-bats and has played in 50 games. |
