Star of the Week Selected in AC Monday, September 3rd, 2057 So far in his young career, Tony Robles has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the American Conference in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old Round Rock Express first baseman hit at a torrid .571 clip as he collected 12 hits in 21 at-bats, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This year Robles is hitting .279 with 13 home runs and 47 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .325 clip and scored 40 runs. |
