Montana Hits in 20 Straight Games Saturday, July 27th , 2075 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Jose Montana did it again, bashing 3 hits in the contest at Dell Diamond today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 23-year-old left fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Round Rock Express beat the Nashville Sounds 5-3 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Montana told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Round Rock clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Jose Montana singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 10th. This year Montana is batting .357 with 10 home runs. |
