Albuquerque's Martinez Acclaimed Best PC Hitter Sunday, September 1st , 2109 When Ernesto Martinez stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Pacific Conference Batter of the Month award. The young Albuquerque left fielder posted a .394 batting average with 6 home runs, 26 RBIs and scored 27 runs. Martinez also worked pitchers for 23 walks to post a .508 on-base percentage. So far this year, Martinez is batting .392 with 8 home runs. |
