Shifflett Booms 3 out of the Park Saturday, August 23rd , 2110 Whatever Julio Shifflett ate for breakfast before his game against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, it gave him some impressive power. The Omaha left fielder smacked three balls up and out of the park at Security Service Field. His home run barrage helped the Storm Chasers defeat the Sky Sox, 21-13. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-5, scored 4 times, drove in 5 and put on a display that history will remember. Julio Shifflett hit a two-run home run off Sean Dale in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Sean Dale in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, walked in a run in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Dan Palumbo in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. In 2110 Shifflett has hit at a .290 clip with 62 hits, 8 home runs, 28 RBIs and has scored 21 times. |
