Chavez Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, August 20th , 2106 Luis Chavez of the Fresno Grizzlies has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 2 hits in today's 9-4 triumph over Sacramento at Chukchansi Park. "20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Chavez said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Luis Chavez singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and walked in the 8th. This year, Chavez is hitting .259 with 114 hits, 5 home runs, 39 RBIs and has scored 66 runs. |
