Yasunaga's Season Could be Over
Sunday, August 31st , 2110
Sho Yasunaga of the Bees just might have to call it quits for the season. The 37-year-old Salt Lake first baseman received a possible season-ending injury against the Las Vegas 51s recently at Smith's Ballpark. Yasunaga suffered a ruptured achilles tendon while running the bases. The Bees medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 5-6 months.
Thus far this season in 58 games, Yasunaga is batting .280 with 13 home runs, 44 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 58 hits in 207 at-bats.
