Serrano Sparkles in 3-0 Shutout Tuesday, September 2nd , 2098 It was not a good day at the plate for the Memphis Redbirds. They came up empty when it mattered against New Orleans Zephyrs right-hander Roberto Serrano, who scattered 4 hits across 9 innings and held the Redbirds scoreless. "We had 4 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Memphis manager Jon Hoffmann said later. Serrano chalked up 7 strikeouts and no walks in the 3-0 Zephyrs win. On the season Serrano has compiled a 12-10 mark with a 4.71 ERA in 27 starts. In pitching 183.1 innings he has 123 strikeouts and 56 walks while limiting the opposition to a .281 batting average.
