Staib Sizzles -- Smokes Sky Sox for 5 Hits Friday, September 6th , 2097 No matter what the Colorado Springs Sky Sox threw at him today, Jonathan Staib hit it. He easily handled Sky Sox pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Express to a 9-6 triumph at Dell Diamond. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Staib's quip, Sky Sox skipper Danny Kenney said he "would take him up on that next time." Jonathan Staib hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Clodio Benido in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
