The Pacific Conference has heralded Matt Taylor of the Albuquerque Isotopes as the #1 man on the mound for the 2098 campaign.

This year's Pitcher of the Year Award winner stood out by running up an impressive 16-3 record, holding opposing hitters to a .238 batting average and posting a 3.13 ERA. The 27-year-old hurler tossed 169.2 innings, gave up 153 hits, fanned 169 and issued 56 walks.

He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 16. Mike Bartley of the Albuquerque Isotopes finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Antenor Palhares of the Fresno Grizzlies finished third.
