Storm Chasers Move on to Round 2 Sunday, September 22nd , 2097 To the chagrin of fans everywhere, American Conference Round 1 had to end eventually. But pushed to the final game, it was the Omaha Storm Chasers coming out on top of the Memphis Redbirds in the classic series. Omaha won the final game by a score of 3-1 and took the series 3-2. "The final game of the series is tough on the nerves whether you're a fan or a player," said Omaha left-hander Esteban Aguirre. "I think we did a good job of controlling our nerves and doing the job necessary to win." Aguirre was named series MVP, as he put up a 0.00 ERA over 6 innings pitched. He added 4 strikeouts with a 2-0 record. The Omaha Storm Chasers will play against the Reno Aces in the next round. Reno won their series against the El Paso Chihuahuas 3 games to 0.
