Star of the Week Honored in EL Monday, July 8th , 2109 22-year-old Travis Parrish made a few Hartford headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Eastern League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .522 average. Parrish collected 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 5 runs. So far on the season, Parrish is hitting .287 with 8 home runs, 33 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has 78 hits and played in 78 games. |
