EL's Top Hitter Named Tuesday, July 1st , 2110 For a rookie just breaking in, David Pugmire certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the EL Batter of the Month award for June. The 25-year-old third baseman for the Hartford Yard Goats hit .452 with 4 home runs, 17 RBIs and 13 runs scored. This year, Pugmire has collected a .357 batting average to date with 60 hits in 168 at-bats, 33 RBIs, 6 home runs and scored 26 times. He has played in 57 games. |
