Nunez Wins EL Player of the Week Honors Monday, July 20th , 2111 Dario Nunez demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Eastern League Player of the Week Award. The Hartford second baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .571 average (8-for-14) with no home runs and 2 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. For the season, Nunez is hitting at a .270 clip with no home runs, 15 RBIs and has scored 19 runs. He has 43 hits, 14 walks and a .333 on-base percentage. |
