SeaWolves Jacobs Gone for Year Thursday, August 27th , 2111 When Jamie Jacobs was hurt against the Reading Fightin Phils, the Erie SeaWolves were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 25-year-old center fielder suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament running the bases in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Jacobs would miss 10 months of the season. So far this year, Jacobs has hit .258 with 7 home runs, 49 RBIs and 76 runs scored. |
