Nunez Fashions Shutout Against Akron
Saturday, August 30th , 2098
Santos Nunez bent a little, but he didn't break against the Akron RubberDucks. The Harrisburg Senators pitcher hurled a 3-hit 4-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 2 walks and tallying 6 strikeouts.
"Santos is good at getting out of jams," Senators manager Tyler Lord told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
Over the season Nunez has thrown 129 innings and dished out 119 strikeouts with a 7-8 mark and a 3.98 ERA.
