Conlan Hot, Generals Cold Friday, August 8th , 2098 Josh Conlan held the Jackson Generals to 3 hits and fashioned a fine 5-0 shutout at Regions Field today. Speaking after the game, Birmingham Barons manager John Ware said "Conlan had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful." Conlan rung up 16 strikeouts and surrendered 1 walk in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Jackson manager Nick Jackson told reporters.
