Maudsley Sizzles, Birmingham Fizzles Monday, September 1st , 2098 Montgomery Biscuits starter Matt Maudsley really did a number on the Birmingham Barons today, shutting them out 1-0 on 3 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 3 walks and had 6 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Birmingham manager John Ware. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Maudsley."
