Week's Top Player: Springfield's Howard Monday, June 2nd , 2098 Josh Howard must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .531 clip, then the Springfield second baseman finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the TEX Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Howard batted .531 (17-for-32) with no home runs and 6 RBIs. Howard is currently batting .353 with 3 home runs, 29 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has 66 hits in 187 at-bats. |
