Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Friday, August 14th , 2111 If there wasn't a history between Aaron Northup of San Antonio and Mitsuyasu Kume of Tulsa, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Northup said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Northup is hitting .259 in 2111 with 53 RBIs and 12 home runs. This year, Kume has no saves in 15 relief appearances with a 7-0 record and 1.72 ERA. |
