Springfield-Frisco Brawl, Lawlor and Penberthy Suspended Wednesday, August 13th , 2110 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Springfield-Frisco contest at Hammons Field. The Cardinals Mike Lawlor and the RoughRiders Terry Penberthy will have to sit out 2 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Lawlor is batting .306 this year with 7 home runs, 34 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 74 hits in 242 at-bats. In 20 starts this season, Penberthy has registered a 6-8 record and a 6.01 ERA. |
