TEX's Top Player, DiSpirito of Springfield Monday, August 25th , 2110 When it came to hitting the baseball, Jarred DiSpirito was in a class by himself in the Texas League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding center fielder for Springfield tagged opposing pitchers for a .682 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 15 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 homers, 6 runs scored and 7 RBIs. So far this season, DiSpirito is batting .293 with 14 home runs. |
