Texas League Announces #1 Player Monday, September 3rd , 2108 It was a fantastic week for Corpus Christi shortstop Josh Whittington and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Texas League Player of the Week Award. Last week Whittington hammered the ball at a torrid .387 pace, going 12-for-31 with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Currently Whittington has 13 home runs and a .272 batting average. |
