Tulsa Crowned Champions Tuesday, September 18th , 2108 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Tulsa Drillers, that meant the Texas League Round 2 trophy. The Drillers took a 2-0 victory over the Corpus Christi Hooks at ONEOK Field, winning their 11th championship after taking the series 4-2. "We've got grit," said Drillers starting pitcher Tommy Harris, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
