Coverdale Grabs TEX Reliever of the Year Wednesday, October 1st , 2098 Chris Coverdale said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 24 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Tulsa Drillers rising star has won the Texas League Reliever of the Year for 2098. He captured the award on the strength of his 1.29 ERA over 91 innings. He also had 29 saves in 62 relief appearances, 130 strikeouts and only 19 walks. He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jacob Magaw of the San Antonio Missions finished second in voting, while Estêvão Ano of the Frisco RoughRiders finished third.
