Peterson Raps Bakersfield for 5 Hits

Inland Empire right fielder Jon Peterson had a day to remember, 5-for-7 against the Bakersfield Blaze at San Manuel Stadium as the 66ers picked up a win, 13-12.
"He was patient up there," Inland Empire skipper Jonathan Vasquez told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Peterson has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Jon Peterson hit a solo-shot off Tommy Houston in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Tommy Houston in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 9th and flied out in the 11th.
Peterson is hitting .342 this year with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .395, 4 walks and scored 5 times.
