Nuts Advance to Round 2 Saturday, September 15th , 2108 The Modesto Nuts made it look easy and are heading to the Round 2. They have ousted the San Jose Giants in a sweep, the final win coming by a 4-1 score, clinching the 3-0 series win. "Everything's clicking for us right now," said Jordan Garcia, who was named MVP for the series. Garcia hit .545 with a .571 on-base percentage. He added 1 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Modesto Nuts don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Lake Elsinore Storm - Rancho Cucamonga Quakes series. Lake Elsinore leads the series 2 games to 1.
