Saindon Goes 5-for-5 Monday, July 1st, 2052 It was a hits blitz for B.J. Saindon at San Jose Municipal Stadium today. The San Jose Giants second baseman tore into the High Desert Mavericks for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Mavericks swept past the Giants 8-6 to ruin Saindon's day. "We weren't locating our pitches well," San Jose manager Vinny Arreola explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from B.J. was nice but it wasn't enough." B.J. Saindon hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Rich Bailey in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
