Roberts Takes CAR Top Starter Trophy Wednesday, May 1st , 2097 In April, Vince Roberts tore through the Carolina League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 23 years old. The young Myrtle Beach starter posted a 2-0 mark and an ERA of 0.83 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 32.2 innings he collected 34 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .132 average. |
