June's CAR Batter of Month Award Announced Monday, July 1st , 2109 Myrtle Beach Pelicans fans believe they've got a talented young star in Zack Tamburino. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in June, as he hit .391 with 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and 10 runs scored. The end result was the third baseman being named the Carolina League Batter of the Month. This year, Tamburino has socked 61 hits in 211 at-bats for a .289 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .322 pace and his totals also include 35 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |
