Carolina League Selects August's Best Batter Monday, September 1st , 2098 Winston-Salem Dash fans may just have witnessed a star player blossoming before their eyes in August. Pete Ware put up a remarkable month at the age of 24 and has been named the Carolina League Batter of the Month. For the month, Ware hit .297 with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and 23 runs scored. In 127 games Ware is hitting .280 this season with 130 hits, 13 home runs, 60 RBIs, 58 walks, .358 OBP and has scored 77 runs. |
