Salem Red Sox Take Round 2 Thursday, September 27th , 2114 The Salem Red Sox pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the Round 2 in a hard-fought series with the Lynchburg Hillcats. It was a seesaw affair, but with a 5-3 victory at Ed Smith Stadium, Salem lay claim to the franchise's 13th championship. "There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Wessel Kamp. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today."
