Jupiter Blanked by Linares

In a remarkable performance, St. Lucie Mets starter Juan Linares beat the Jupiter Hammerheads, 2-0, in an impressive 3-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Mets hurler finished with 7 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Jupiter manager Leonardo Espinet said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
This year, Linares has worked 60 innings with 52 strikeouts en route to a 4-4 record and 2.55 ERA.
