Daytona Shuts Out Bradenton Behind Cheeks, 8-0 Friday, August 11th , 2113 Brian Cheeks kept the Bradenton Marauders hitters from doing much damage at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Bradenton could only muster 3 hits and draw no walks against the right-handed Cheeks, who controlled them throughout the game. Daytona won the contest, 8-0. Cheeks added 8 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Cheeks told reporters after the shutout win.
