Tomlinson Hitless, Streak Ends at 24 Friday, July 22nd , 2107 After 24 games, Brevard County second baseman C.J. Tomlinson saw his hitting streak end when he went hitless in 3 at-bats. However, the Manatees still managed to take the win, topping the St. Lucie Mets, 6-2, at Tradition Field. "It was a good run," Tomlinson said after the game. "It was bound to end at some point. I'm just glad we won the day it ended." This year, Tomlinson is hitting .317, produced 46 RBIs and 12 home runs, scored 62 times and gotten on base at a .429 rate. |
