Tampa's Morfin Collects August Batting Honor Monday, September 1st , 2098 Not known for his offensive prowess, Abraham Morfin set the league afire in August and took home the Florida State League Batter of the Month award. The Tampa left fielder posted a steady .366 batting average, 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and 14 runs. So far on the season Morfin is hitting .290 with 8 home runs, 31 RBIs and 28 runs scored.
