FSL Presents Outstanding Pitcher Award

Aaron Hunt walked away with the top pitching honors in the Florida State League this year. The Palm Beach Cardinals starter was named the Pitcher of the Year Award winner for 2110 earlier today.

This outstanding 22-year-old hurler fashioned a fine 9-2 won-lost record in 15 starts. He threw 107.1 innings, giving up 79 hits and 25 walks and holding opponents to a .200 average. Hunt struck out 103 and posted a 1.34 ERA.

He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 12. Bob Navarro of the Brevard County Manatees finished second in voting, while Luis Sanchez of the Daytona Tortugas finished third.
